In many cases, parents put their personal conflicts before the best interests of the child, creating a judicialized environment that negatively impacts their children's mental health. The purpose of this study was to analyze how custody proceedings affect the fundamental rights of minors, especially in contexts where parental co-responsibility is not prioritized nor are conditions of emotional stability guaranteed. A qualitative methodology was adopted based on interviews with parents and minors who have gone through these types of proceedings in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, complemented by observation in family courts. The results reveal high levels of anxiety, sadness, and perceptions of vulnerability in minors, as well as a recurring tendency toward psychological violence that is not promptly identified by the responsible adults. It is concluded that parents, by focusing the trial on the conflict rather than on the well-being of their children, contribute to child revictimization. It is urgent to strengthen interdisciplinary mechanisms for family protection and guidance.
Alejandra Esquivel de los Santos Copyright (c) 2024 Alejandra Esquivel de los Santos https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-30 2024-12-30 2 2 5 13 Educational quality management through the CAF model in two school districts in the Dominican Republic https://revista.itcc.edu.mx/index.php/rcm/article/view/22
Educational quality management has become a strategic pillar for strengthening school systems, especially in contexts seeking to ensure inclusive and sustainable education. In the Dominican Republic, the CAF Model has been adopted as a tool for self-assessment and continuous improvement in schools. However, its effective implementation presents significant challenges. The objective of this study was to analyze the level of implementation of the CAF Model in educational quality management in schools belonging to Districts 06-05 (La Vega Este) and 16-01 (Cotuí) and to identify its main institutional weaknesses. A mixed approach was used: descriptive and non-experimental. Data collection included structured surveys, semi-structured interviews, and documentary analysis. A total of 128 educational stakeholders participated: principals, management teams, teachers, and administrative staff. The results revealed significant deficiencies in the three dimensions analyzed: integration of educational policies, preparation of the Institutional Quality Committee (CIC), and cooperative participation. In all of them, the perception of inadequate or inadequate implementation prevailed, with a lack of staff training and a weak organizational culture standing out as the main obstacles. It is concluded that educational quality management through the CAF Model faces structural limitations that require urgent interventions focused on training, cooperation, and strengthening school leadership. The study offers useful evidence to guide contextualized educational improvement policies and strategies.
Ynosencia Merejo Medrano Copyright (c) 2024 Ynosencia Merejo Medrano https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-30 2024-12-30 2 2 14 22 Evaluation of the implementation of the SG-SST in Colombian business contexts https://revista.itcc.edu.mx/index.php/rcm/article/view/21
The implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in Colombia has been a complex process, influenced by organizational, economic, regulatory, and cultural factors. This review analyzes recent studies that examine the challenges, progress, and dynamics associated with compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) since the issuance of Decree 1072 of 2015. The methodological design based on the PDCA cycle has been fundamental to structuring a systematic approach to continuous improvement. However, its effective implementation varies depending on the company's size, economic sector, and degree of formalization. Micro and small businesses face greater barriers, mainly due to resource limitations, lack of institutional support, and weaknesses in organizational culture. The COVID-19 pandemic and informality exacerbated these challenges, diverting resources and affecting the capacity to implement the OHSMS. Despite this, progress is recognized in regulated sectors and in companies that integrate technological tools into their management processes. It is concluded that strengthening the effectiveness of the OSHMS requires a contextualized approach, differentiated public policies, and a strengthening of a culture of prevention.
Ronald Yesid Palencia Buelvas Copyright (c) 2024 Ronald Yesid Palencia Buelvas https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-30 2024-12-30 2 2 23 33
